One of the titles in a series of indexed touring maps, boldly highlighting national parks, forests and other scenic areas. Road network highlights main state and provincial highways, with secondary and minor local roads less clearly defined. Relief is shown by shading with names of selected peaks. National parks, forest parks, nature and marine reserves, and scenic and recreational areas are highlighted in bold colours. Symbols show campsites, places of interest, sport and recreational facilities, etc. The maps are indexed and have a UTM grid. On the reverse each title has notes about the area, lists of visitors’ centres, Maori terms, etc.
