A detailed, indexed road map of the New England area, with Maine on one side and Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont & New Hampshire on the other. A place-name index for each state is given, along with quick facts about the state and short tourist descriptions of major cities. Cartography is clear and detailed, showing interstates, regional and local roads. Tolls are shown and road numbers and types are clearly indicated. Intermediate driving distances between places are marked alongside the roads in miles.
Some spot heights mark high peaks in feet, but no other topographic information is given. Urban areas, state & national parks, national forests and Indian reservations are shaded. A number of symbols show points of tourist and traveller interest, including service stations, road-side rest areas, campgrounds, picnic areas/wayside stops, airports, tourist information centres, golf courses, hospitals and ports.
The map includes a driving distance overview map and mileage chart, toll road info, radio stations, tourist information centre details, and highway hotline numbers.
