A map/guide to the best beaches of Brazil, with an overview map of the country’s southern coast, enlargements for six most popular areas and additional tourist information.
The main map at 1:3,500,000 covers the southern stretch of the Atlantic coast from Itaúnas in Espiritu Santo state, across Rio, to Hermenegildo near the Urugyayan border, showing just main roads but highlighting numerous beaches, annotated with brief comments, and other places of interest. The map is indexed both for towns and beaches.
On the reverse are more detailed maps highlighting the beaches around the areas of Florianópolis and Ilha Santa Catarina, Bombinhas - Bombas, Garopaba - Praia do Rosa, Armaçao dos Búzios, Camboriú and Costa Verde.
Also included are a list classifying the beaches by type (secluded, romantic, family, nudist, etc), lists of websites of relevant state organizations as well as hotels and posadas in various resorts, a distance table and climate information.
