Florence in a series of waterproof and tear-resistant, pocket street maps with their handy 10x10cm format cleverly concealing a collection of plans and road maps, plus a wealth of tourist information.
On one side is a street plan of the city’s central districts at 1:10,200, extending north to the EXPO grounds and south, across the Arno, to include the whole of the Boboli Gardens. All the city’s famous buildings are clearly marked and named and locations of numerous hotels are highlighted. The index lists only main streets.
On the reverse the city’s historic centre is shown in greater detail, with a separate plan showing the Duomo and the Baptistry. Also provided is a street plan of Fiésole. A road map shows the city’s immediate environs, with another small inset covering central Tuscany with road connections to Pisa, Lucca, Siena, Arezzo, etc.
Two illustrated panels have descriptions of main sites in the city and tips for day trips, and further panels provide information on the city’s history and its main districts, listings of museums, palaces, churches, etc. Also provided is a diagram of the city’s network of ecological buses.
