Boston in a series of waterproof and tear-resistant, pocket street maps with their handy 10x10cm format cleverly concealing a collection of plans and road maps, plus a wealth of tourist information.
On one side is a street plan of the city’s central districts at 1:17,000 approx., extending across the Charles River to include Cambridge with MIT and Harvard. Public buildings, including the city’s other academic institutions, the Museum of Fine Arts and other places of interest are highlighted and metro stations are marked. The index lists only main streets.
On the reverse the city centre is shown in greater detail. Two road maps show the Boston conurbation within the motorway ring, plus Massachusetts with adjoining states for day trips. Also included is a diagram of the city’s subway network. Two illustrated panels have descriptions of main sites in the city, and further panels provide information on the city’s history and its main districts, listings of museums and galleries, historic places and other sights.
