Uncomplicated tourist road map showing each of the two provinces on one side. There is no relief detail but mountain passes are marked. Five types of roads are shown, from freeways to unsurfaced minor roads, indicating toll roads with locations of toll gates, major petrol stops, and driving distances on main routes. National parks and reserves are highlighted and symbols show local airports, border posts to Lesotho, and various places of interest including battle sites, shipwrecks, whale watching areas, rock art sites, etc.
Small insets show the Cape Peninsula, and environs of Port Elizabeth and Durban with more detail. Contact phone numbers for regional tourist offices within the two provinces are listed. Although the map covers parts of the adjoining provinces and the whole of Lesotho, information there is limited to main roads and only main towns are shown.
