The main map showing most of the city is at 1:15,000. The city centre is shown in greater detail at 1:8,000. Detail includes one-way streets, pedestrian zones, railway lines and stations, car parks and bus terminals. Colours distinguish parks and built-up areas and a range of symbols denote various landmarks, notable buildings, museums, hotels, sites of interest, information centres, churches, cemeteries etc. On the reverse is a road map at 1:800,000 of the city's wider environs including Katowice, Ostrava, Tarnow and the southern Polish border region.
All the maps are indexed for streets, towns and places of interest as appropriate to the scale, and throughout the coverage 29 major attractions are highlighted and provided with brief descriptions. Some general notes for tourists are also included ie. public transport matters, money, tourist information resources. A diagram of the city's tram network is included.
