Details
One of the titles in a series of touring and trekking maps of Chile and the neighbouring regions of Argentina. The main map at approx 1:250,000 extends from Osorno, Lago Llanquihue and Purto Montt in the west across the Argentina/Chile border to Lago Nahuel Huapi and San Carlos de Bariloche. Contours (at 250m intervals on the Argentinian side, no interval given within Chile), numerous spot heights and colouring for glaciers show the terrain. Roads and tracks are clearly marked, many with distances as well as locations of petrol stations. Symbols highlight campsites, accommodation, view points, national parks, etc. Margin ticks show latitude and longitude at 15' intervals. Map legend includes English.
On the reverse an enlargement at approx. 1:65,000 shows the Lago Todos los Santos and the surrounding area, highlighting tracks around and to the summit of Volcan Osorno. A further enlargement shows the valley of the Rio Sin Nombre and the route between Lago Todos los Santos and Lago Rupanco.
