Overview map of southern Patagonia and the Chilean coast of South America, extending southwards from Lago Buenos Aires, Perito Moreno and Caleta Olivia. The map shows the region’s network of paved and unsurfaced roads, highlighting recommended tourist routes, both within Argentina and in the Chilean part around Puerto Natales, Punta Arenas and Tierra del Fuego. The railway line from Rios Gallegos to Rio Turbio is also marked. Along the Chilean coast the map shows main shipping and cruising routes. Relief shading and colouring for glaciers gives an impression of the region’s topography. In addition to local towns and villages the map also shows and names numerous isolated farms and homesteads. Latitude and longitude lines are drawn at 1° intervals. Map legend includes English. Also included are tables showing rural accommodation with contact addresses, plus facilities in main towns and villages.
