Details
One of five maps designed to cover in greater detail the most popular national parks and recreational areas of New South Wales. The map covers the Blue Mountains National Park and the adjoining state forests, as wells as the Kanangra-Boyd and Abercrombie River National Parks. Topography is indicated by names of various ranges and selected peaks. Public access trails and walking tracks are shown, indicating maintained and not maintained/unmarked routes. An overprint highlights sightseeing routes, information centres and park offices, rest and picnic areas, campsites, recreational facilities, places of interest, etc. The map also shows boundaries of restricted entry water catchment areas. Latitude lines are drawn at 7’30” intervals, with longitude at 15’. The map also has a grid showing coverage of this area by the 1:25,000 topographic survey of New South Wales.
On the reverse there are street plans at 1:30,000 of the towns along the Great Western Highway, highlighting accommodation and various facilities, plus enlargements showing local walks from Blackheath, Katoomba and Leura, and Wentworth Falls.
This title is part of Hema’s series of regional touring maps, providing more detailed or more convenient coverage of various regions of Australia than found on road maps of individual states or in the publisher's "City to City" series.
