One of the titles in a series of basic, black and white dyeline maps of the main trekking areas of Peru, prepared by the South American Explorers Club as supplements to the country’s topographic survey and designed to highlight trekking circuits. The maps show local villages and settlements with limited topographic information: rivers (with bridges and fords) and lakes, mountain passes, but contours are provided only for some of the surrounding mountains and not, with the exception of the Inca Trail, for the whole area covered by the map.
In this title: the trail from Tinqui around the Nevado Auzangate, with an alternative spur to Lake Sibinacocha. Contours are shown for the whole area, at 500m intervals for altitudes between 4000m and 5000m, with 200m intervals above it. The map was prepared in 1985.
