Touring map extending westwards from Toowoomba and the New England Highway and showing the coast around Gladstone, Rockhampton and the Torilla Peninsula. Coverage northward extends just beyond the Flinders Highway connecting Charters Towers and Mount Isa, with the Gulf Region as an inset at 1:2,500,000. Topography is shown by names of mountain ranges and selected peaks, with national parks and protected areas highlighted. Symbols show roadside facilities, accommodation, campsites, fuels supplies, places of interest, etc. The map also highlights various routes across the outback, including the Matilda Highway, Marine Fossil Byway, the Adventure Way, the Dinosaur Way, etc. Latitude and longitude lines are drawn at 1° intervals with ticks in steps of 10'. On the reverse there are general notes and advice on places of interest, lists of contact addresses, and a table of facilities in the national parks.
