Handy A5 size, 130 page, spiral-bound atlas of Brazil, with 35 route diagrams of highways between main cities, a very comprehensive distance table and an index of localities. The maps cover the whole country at 1:2,000,000, with enlargements provided for the most densely populated areas. An important feature of the presentation of the country’s road network is the marking indicating difficult sections of highways where special regulations and speed limits apply. Also marked are locations of fuel supplies, highway police units, and toll barriers. The atlas shows local airfields, national parks, administrative boundaries, etc. The maps have latitude and longitude margin ticks at 2° intervals. Map legend and additional descriptions of various routes are in Portuguese only.
Route diagrams show highway connections between main cities, indicating the amount of toll fees payable for each section of the route. A comprehensive index of place names gives population figures for all locations. The atlas also includes coverage of Uruguay, southern Paraguay and northern Argentina at 1:5,500,000.
