Details
The main map at 1:17,500 shows central San Antonio, from Palm Heights district in the south-west to Brackenridge Park in the north and the City Cemeteries in the east. Detail includes railways, one-way streets, car parks, and public buildings. Colours distinguish parks and built-up areas and a range of symbols denote various landmarks, monuments, notable buldings, post offices, museums, hotels, information centres, sites of interest etc.
On the reverse the coverage continues south-eastwards at 1:50,000, showing the Mission Trail area. There is also a 1:125,000 map of the greater San Antonio area bounded by the Interstate 410, a 1:80,000 map of the Canyon Lake area, and a small road map at 1:5million of Texas.
All the maps are indexed for streets, towns and places of interest as appropriate for the scale, and throughout the coverage 17 major attractions are highlighted and provided with brief descriptions. Some general notes for tourists are also included ie. public transport matters, money, tourist information resources. A diagram of the No. 7 streetcar route is included.
