One of the titles in a series of clear touring maps from the Automóvil Club Argentino, with street plans of local towns and enlargements for popular areas. Road network, from motorways to unsurfaced country tracks is presented on a clear base with relief shading and spot heights, plus rivers, lakes, glaciers, etc., to show the topography. Intermediate driving distances are indicated and the maps also show ACA service and petrol stations, as well as motels and campsites approved by the Club. Railway lines, provincial and departmental divisions and boundaries of national parks and protected zones are shown and symbols mark various places of interest, historical sites, etc. Latitude and longitude lines are drawn at 1º intervals. On the reverse each title has an index of localities, street plans of main towns and enlargements for popular tourist areas. All text including the map legend is in Spanish only. The series, begun with the southern provinces of Argentina, is still not complete, with the north of the country not yet covered.
In this title: on the reverse there are street plans of Rawson, Trelew, Caleta Olivia, Puerto Deseado, Comodoro Rivadavia, Esquel and Puerto Madryn, an enlargement of the parks and reserves in the mountains between Trevelin and El Bolson, and an enlargement of the Peninsula Valdes and the neighbouring area.
