Details
Double-sided tourist map of Mozambique, with numerous insets of street plans and enlargements for most frequently visited areas of the country. The main map has five kinds of roads, indicating sections liable to flooding, and showing intermediate driving distances and petrol stations. Symbols highlight border posts to the neighbouring countries (with opening times), places of interest, national parks and reserves, and numerous tourist facilities including accommodation, diving and swimming areas, etc.
On both sides of the map a series of insets displays enlargements of all the most popular areas: Quirimba Archipelago, Mozambique Island, Bazaruto Achipelago, Inhambane area, Maputo Bay, Lichinga - Lake Malawi Area, Zambezi Delta, Gorongosa National Park, and Maputaland. There is also an inset showing the Zambezi itself from its source in northern Zambia to the Indian Ocean. Neither the main map nor any of the insets have information on the country’s topography or geographical coordinates.
Also included are street plans of Maputo, Beira, Inhambane, Quelimane, and Nampula, all showing hotels, restaurants, and public buildings such as hospitals and post offices. The map also has lists of recommended hotels, and other useful information for visitors to the country.
