One of the titles in a series of basic, black and white dyeline maps of the main trekking areas of Peru, prepared by the South American Explorers Club as supplements to the country’s topographic survey and designed to highlight trekking circuits. The maps show local villages and settlements with limited topographic information: rivers (with bridges and fords) and lakes, mountain passes, but contours are provided only for some of the surrounding mountains and not, with the exception of the Inca Trail, for the whole area covered by the map.
In this title: the Cordillera Blanca range between Anta and the Quebrada Honda in the south to the Santa Cruz peaks and Lake Cullicocha in the north. Contours, with no interval indicated, are given only for the immediate areas around the main peaks, mostly outside the trails shown on the map. The map was prepared in 1979.
