One of the titles in a series of touring and trekking maps of Chile and the neighbouring regions of Argentina. The map of Chiloe is at approximately 1:500,000, although no scale is stated. Map coverage extends across the Golfo de Ancud to include the mainland coast. An impression of relief is provided by spot heights and some stylized elevation tinting. National parks are highlighted with symbols but no boundaries are stated. Many other geographical features are identified, e.g. bays, capes and islands. Roads are classified either as paved or unpaved, with driving distances and locations of petrol stations, Aerodromes and main sea routes are also marked. Other details include symbols for hot springs, lighthouses, police stations, lodgings and campsites.
An inset at 1:125,000 shows the Chiloe National Park at the western coast of the island in greater detail, with a further enlargement showing Cucao, indicating camping, accommodation and the bus terminal.
On the reverse is a physical road map of Patagonia at approx. 1:3,000,000 from Cape Horn to San Carlos de Bariloche in Argentina and Puerto Monnt - Osorno in Chile. The map has altitude tinting, shows driving distances on most roads, and has symbols for international frontier points and selected places of interest. Also included is a list of list protected areas shown on the map.
