The main map at 1:12,500 shows most of the city centre, from Leningradsky station in the north-east to Smolenskaya in the west and Gorky Park in the south. Detail includes one-way streets, pedestrian zones, railways, metro lines and stations, car parks, and public buildings. Colours distinguish parks and built-up areas and a range of symbols denote various landmarks, monuments, notable buldings, embassies, churches, museums, hotels, information offices, sites of interest etc. On the reverse is general map of the wider Moscow area at 1:180,000 showing main communications, and a road map of Moscow and surrounding towns (The Golden Ring) at 1:3,500,000.
All the maps are indexed for streets, towns and places of interest as appropriate for the scale, and throughout the coverage 26 major attractions are highlighted and provided with brief descriptions. Some general notes for tourists are also included ie. public transport matters, money, tourist information resources. A diagram of the metro network is included.
