Laminated and waterproof tourist map for visitors to St. Petersburg, combining a plan of the central part of the city with a map of its environs and plans of Pushkin and Petrodvorets. The main plan at 1:11,000 covers all major sights in the city, extending from the Marinsky Theatre and the Great Synagogue to the Alexander Nevsky Monastery and the Neva. On the reverse, two insets extend the coverage of the main plan southwards along the Moskovsky Prospect to the Victory Square, plus to the north-west to the islands in the mouth of the Neva. The plan indicates various places of interest highlighting all famous sights, selected hotels, metro stations with line numbers, one way streets, etc.
Also included is a road map of the city’s environs (1:325,000), showing access to Pushkin (Tsarskoye Selo) and Petrodvorets, with plans provided for the areas around the two palaces and their gardens. All the plans and the road map are indexed for streets/localities, places of interest, etc.
All place names are in the Roman alphabet only, but a diagram of the city’s metro network gives station names in both scripts.
