Details
Large road map of Brazil with, according to its publishers, 5215 towns and villages. The bulk of the country is shown at 1:3,000,000, and the north-west region, with the Amazon from Santarém westwards, at 1:7,000,000.
The maps show six classes of roads, including unsurfaced tracks, indicating difficult or dangerous sections. There is no information on topography beyond the rivers and lakes network, plus names of main mountain and hill ranges, but national parks and other protected areas are highlighted. Latitude and longitude lines are drawn at intervals of 2°. Map legend is in Portuguese only.
The map includes an enlargement for the São Paulo area and has a very extensive index, although not all the 5215 localities appear to be listed in it.
Please note:
Many place names, road numbers and intermediate driving distances are in very small print which some may find difficult to read.
