This is the first GIS (Geographical Information Systems) map of ROAD Editions. Printed in April 2006, this map offers excellent attributes:

Unique wealth of geographical data (road network, touristic sights, beaches, archaeological sites)
For the creation of this map, we conducted an extensive cartographic fieldwork on February 2006, utilizing state-of-the-art topographical equipment. We did not use any aerial pictures, satellite images, previous cartographic material or any other source of information. We believe that nothing compares with the accuracy of the information collected on the field.
Although this map has been created on GIS technology (both during fieldwork and on processing data in the office), it features remarkable clearness of symbols and colors, a “trademark” of ROAD Editions’ cartography.
It includes town plan of Vathy (the capital city of the island), a note on the islands’ history, list of hotel and useful telephone numbers, etc.
