This handy-sized volume begins with a some general maps depicting China's administrative divisions, physical relief, major road network, major railways, major scenic spots & historic sites. This introduction is followed by 2-page maps of the municipalities, provinces, regions, autonomous regions and special administrative regions which make up the country. Each map is accompanied by some text on the region's geography. Detail includes national, provincial and county class roads, railways, water features eg. canals, reservoirs, rivers, airports, ports, mountain peaks. For towns which are administrative centres, the name is stated in Chinese and English; for lower classified towns the name is in Chinese only. Latitude and longitude lines are drawn.
Each regional map is followed by a street map of the region's capital. Detail includes railways, parks, hotels, hospitals, bus stations and selected sites of interest.
