Details
Durable, laminated, tourist street plan with index and a road map of the south Queensland coast. This is one of the many handy-sized Flexi Maps by this publisher, impressive for the amount of information packed in a small format. Detail on the main map of central Brisbane includes car parks, one-way streets, tourist information offices, pedestrian zones, railways, ferry links, churches, synagogues, monuments, hotels, sites of interest and notable and public buildings. Colours distinguish parks and built-up areas. Coverage extends from New Farm in the east to West End, and from Victoria Park golf course in the north to Woolloongabba in the south.
On the reverse is a 1:110,000 map of the greater Brisbane area including the international airport to the north-east and Archerfield airport to the south. Golf courses are marked and main road names are stated. There is also a 1:650,000 road map of the southern Queensland coast area from Surfers Paradise in the south to Fraser Island in the north, and as far inland as Lake Wivenhoe. Hill-shading shows the general relief and some peak altitudes are marked. Intermediate road distances are indicated and many protected areas are shown. No latitude and longitude lines are marked on the maps. All the maps are indexed, for streets, districts, buildings, towns and places of interest as appropriate for the scale and level of detail, and throughout the coverage 23 major attractions are highlighted and provided with brief descriptions. Some general notes for tourists are also included ie. public transport matters, money, tourist information resources.
