Double-sided map at 1:900,000 divides the region into north and south sections. Relief is shown by hill-shading and the main road network is clearly depicted, with intermediate driving distances on most roads. Railways are marked, and symbols highlight airports, national parks, indian reservations, monuments and other natural and cultural sites of interest.

All the maps are indexed for streets, towns and places of interest as appropriate for the scale, and throughout the coverage 22 major attractions are highlighted and provided with brief descriptions. Some general notes for tourists are also included ie. public transport matters, money, telephones, climate & tourist information resources.
