Mot people visiting Europe travel by train, but few realize that just about every map of Europe has taken train route information OFF the map. That's right, AA, ADAC, Blay, Freytag, Hema, Michelin and many others do NOT show rail lines, just roads. Well, this map DOES show most of the passenger rail services from Ireland to the Urals and from Norway to the Mediterranean. some routes are too short to show, and other rail lines do not carry passenger traffic. The map also shows main highways (all the 'E' roads are sign-posted in green), and significant urban areas, coded by population. Each country is shown in a different colour. We printed this map on plastic because a map of this nature needs to be robust, and able to stand rigorous use over an extended time period; hence, waterproof, tear-resistant plastic.
