One of the titles in a series of basic, black and white dyeline maps of the main trekking areas of Peru, prepared by the South American Explorers Club as supplements to the country’s topographic survey and designed to highlight trekking circuits. The maps show local villages and settlements with limited topographic information: rivers (with bridges and fords) and lakes, mountain passes, but contours are provided only for some of the surrounding mountains and not, with the exception of the Inca Trail, for the whole area covered by the map.
In this title: a route in 19 stages from Chiquian in the north-west corner of the map to Viconga in the south-east, with alternative trails to other nearby villages and Lake Jahuacocha. Contours (no interval given) are provided only for some of the surrounding mountains and not for route itself. The map was prepared by the South American Explorers Club in 1979.
