Meticulously researched atlas of India's railway network, by designer and railway fan Samit Roychoudhury.
Mapping distinguishes between many types of railway according to characteristics such as guage, multiple tracks, elictrification. Also marked: junctions, stations, divisional and zonal headquarters, loco sheds, workshops, goods yards, container terminals. Most other detail is omitted for clarity except for rivers, state boundaries and airports.
Larger scale insets are provided for complex parts of the network eg. regions around large cities, and the metro systems of Delhi and Kolkata. There is also a map of South Bengal's narrow guage lines and a map of the Indian network in 1893.
Indexed for stations, metro stations, and major bridges and tunnels.
Multilingual lehgend in English, French & German.
