Laminated and waterproof map for visitors to Philadelphia, combining a street plan of the central part of the city with maps of the university area, Fairmount Park, and the outer suburbs. The main plan at 1:7,000 covers the downtown area from the 30th Street Railway Station and the Schuylkill River to the Delaware River, extending north to the Eastern State Penitentiary Historic Site and south to Hawthorne district. The map shows subway stations, PHLASH Visitor Bus line with stops, one way streets and car parks, with selected hotels, main buildings and other places of interest prominently marked.
On the reverse is a street plan at 1:12,000 of the University City district, Fairmount Park area at 1:15,000, plus a road map of the city’s outer suburbs at 1:125,000. All the plans and the road map are indexed with lists of streets/localities, sights, parks, golf courses, etc. Top 30 main sights in the city and its environs are highlighted. Also included is a diagram of the public transport network, a map of USA showing states and time zones, and information on the city’s climate.
