Surinam (or Suriname, in Dutch) is the country in-between Guyana and French Guiana in northeastern South America. The infrastructure of the country is concentrated along the coastal strip; there are few roads into the interior, and heavy jungle cover has prevented detailed mapping of the southern half of the country. Regardless, this is a travel adventure country, and well worth the effort to reach pristine nature reserves. The other side of the map is a regional map of the three Guianas countries; again, very detailed.
