The first edition of this map, published in 2000, covered half of Attica (from Sounion to Parnitha) and was planned on a 1:50,000 scale. From the second edition onwards, we changed the scale (to 1:60,000) and also increased the printing surface (the map is printed in Italy due to its large size) and were, therefore, able to include all of Attica. This map now extends to Thiva on the northwest and the entire coast of Attica on the northeast, as well as the southeastern tip of Viotia.
The ROAD map of Attica was planned in cooperation with the concession company ATTIKI ODOS and the German company HOCHTIEF that built the 'Eleftherios Venizelos' International Airport in Spata. It was the first map to include the Attiki Odos Motorway and the new airport, which were then under construction. It continues to be the only map that shows the prefectures, entire road network with remarkable precision, provides exact distances in kilometres, the entire network of roads passing through the mountains surrounding Athens (Parnitha, Ymittos, Pendeli, Kitheronas, Pastra, Pateras) for excursionists travelling on jeeps or on/off road motorcycles, and marks all the sights (archaeological sites, monasteries, etc.).
Another important feature of this map is that it provides a precise representation of all the Olympic venues in Attica, where the 2004 Olympic Games have been held and a list of all the sport events along with their competition venues. It is accompanied by a 16-page colour booklet containing useful telephone numbers and an alphabetical index.
