Small atlas of Japan with a collection of special maps and street plans. The main maps at 1:1,260,000 occupy 23 pages and cover the whole country.
Detail includes roads, railways, ferries, airports, altitude tinting, national parks, prefectural boundaries and seats, shrines, temples & mountain peaks. Additionally there are conurbation and city centre maps, tourist and resort area maps, national and metropolitan rail and subway maps, and thematic maps eg. historic sites, world heritage sites, ceramic kiln areas. The bilingual presentation of all the names makes some of these maps look very cluttered, especially at the smaller scales.
