The main map at 1:17,500 shows most of the city centre, from Green Hills Landing and Riverside Golf Course in the north-west to Pleasant Run district in the south-east. Detail includes one-way streets, railways, car parks, and public buildings. Colours distinguish parks and built-up areas and a range of symbols denote various landmarks, monuments, notable buldings, churches, golf courses, museums, hotels, information offices, sites of interest etc. On the reverse is general map of the greater Indianapolis area at 1:120,000 showing main communications, a road map of Indiana and surroundings from Nashville to Detroit at 1:4,000,000, and a street map of the Indianapolis Speedway district.
All the maps are indexed for streets, towns and places of interest as appropriate for the scale, and throughout the coverage 26 major attractions are highlighted and provided with brief descriptions. Some general notes for tourists are also included ie. public transport matters, money, tourist information resources. A diagram of the local bus route network is included
