Physical map covering South America's three most important pre-Colombian roads, lying in the area east of La Paz, where the Cordillera de La Paz rises and descends eastwards to the Jungas de La Paz. These ancient routes are accessible from La Paz and are now popular trekking routes, clearly signposted and with camping spots. Bold hill-shading and 100m contours portray the general relief and road detail includes some minor roads and tracks, with intermediate distances shown on main routes. Wooded, wetland and glaciated areas are indicated and symbols depict water supplies, campsites and mines. The margin notes (in English and Spanish) provide a brief introduction to the history and nature of the roads together with trekking details. The legend is also bilingual.
